Does anyone know grade levels at texas instruments, what grade is equivalent to a manager title and lead engineer roles.
You can be a manager from job grade 28 onward. At JG28 you may have only one or two direct reports. Tye first real manager job grade is 29. But you can also be a job grade 29 and not be a manager. 29 is considered industry expert level or something along those lines. Baachelor new hires start at JG 24 Masters new hires statt at JG26 PhD new hires start at JG28, which is a terminal job grade - most of the engineers fall into this JG Other job grades like 30, 31, 32 are for director and above levels, or equivalent technical standing (TI fellow and such)
TC breakdown?
Job grade 30 is not director level. I heard when you get in tech ladder (MGTS) you become 29... SMTS is either 30 or 31, I think...
Thanks for the info @ucc.
What grade to expect with ~ 13Years of industry experience.MSEE (2018) What should be expected salary range. Any comments on RSU, joining and relocation bonus.
I think they offer G29. Salary range is hard to find.. I think it is team dependent..
They will lowball you for sure.
TI has a great company culture, do a good job of making employees feel valued and appreciated. Generous with annual salary increases and can't forget profit sharing - 20% annual payout is the norm for TIers
That’s just total BS.
It depends on your boss, group, and performance IMHO. It's been a wonderful experience for me, with fantastic support and opportunities. Locating resources can be a challenge with any large company so acquire a few mentors and work with many people.
Wow, TI still exists ?!
Yes, the largest analog semiconductor company in the world still exists lol
