Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
This is the long-due post. I would like to thank each one of the blind family members that helped me, directly and indirectly, boost my career. I came to know about the Blind app through a friend, and since then, I got addicted and literally addicted. I started exploring the app and saw the threads and comments, and realized that people are so ambitious and are getting good incentives and pay raises. I started having anxiety that I was leaving behind in a career race. I am currently working in a Tech company and making it below the threshold, which means I hardly make $72,000 annually after two completing Masters from states (MBA and MS in Information Science). But I boosted my morale after seeing people's success and then decided to be in the race. I started applying to the most ranked companies like google, meta, Microsoft, and others but got a response from some companies apart from startups. 1. Had an interview in Zoom. I went on the third round but failed 2. Verizon gave me the offer almost, and then they backed off 3. AAA insurance rejected me in the last and final round 4. Got a rejection from Ultra-mobile in the third round of interview 5. Gota rejection from Toyota in the technical interview 6. Got a rejection from Disney's last round of interview 7. Got a reject from PWC in last round of interview 8. Meta is still in progress, but I do not having high hopes =D 9. Finally was able to crack the interview and landed a job at Southwest Airlines. I started this journey in mid of February, and I just accepted the offer. Thank you, Blind members. You guys are amazing, and I owe this thank you to all of you Current TC: $71.5K annually (Base) New TC: 122K annually (Base) YOE: 3.3 #tech #careeradvancement #satisfied #nevergiveup #thankyou #blind #career #offers
You are thanking too early. 122K is still in poor category. You have a long way to go. Back to LC.
I forgot to mention for some people is nothing but for me. Its a huge jump because previous I was barely making amything. This result came out afted 2 months of struggle and knowing blind app. Now I know my worth and my expertise. Will share a more better news later :)
Okay, Google, tell me a joke now! Edit — thought Google was a troll, but it seems they’re a nice person and wishing OP luck in a diff way. Keeping this post to show my stupidity in assessing. sorry, goog!
Good luck 🍀
Congratulations! Keep your spirit up!
Southwest not spirit!
Keep LCing and system design. If you land a spot at the right company you could easily 2X your TC.
I am in Data Analytics Domain
How was your interview process at Southwest and what kind of questions they asked?
Good luck, my friend! Keep crushing those goals!
