Me too? How is having a consensual affair lumped in with me too?

It's pretty frustrating that everyone labels women as so helpless that the basic assumption is that all women in relationships in the workplace are doing it against their will and they have no agency over their lives. Women are people too and can make their own decisions. I think to handicap them by saying this relationship was conditional demeans her and women as a whole.

Clearly, Google, like most other corporates, missed the memo on this one:

      1. Unless society imposes a very high social cost for such aberrant behavior, it will unfortunately continue.

      2. This is probably one of the worst examples of dating someone from the same company. And the situation was exacerbated because the guy was a counsel (or at least from that dept.) himself, so he understood the legal ramifications (or not) of his deeds

Does the good work he did not earn him anything? He must be punished but how's that tied to him getting paid for his work.
