The trade desk stock refresh

Laid off in Jan from Meta(lost the meta blind account too). Got an offer from the trade desk. The cash and rsu offer seems good for this environment tbh, but seems they don’t offer sign on cash. The recruiter says they have annual stock refreshes, and very generous, just won’t give me a number or ratio. Does anyone know how generous that would be? Or range? Current TC: $0 of course + unemployment #thetradedesk #refreshers #comp

Refreshers are lower than original grants

Microsoft gjwk07 OP Sep 5, 2023

Yeah, that' expected I guess. At what scale? Half? 10 percen?

The Trade Desk jkAo28 Sep 6, 2023

RSU refreshers are roughly 25% of your initial grant in my experience. Also, don’t let them hype you up about “evergreen grants”. They are extremely small, usually around $10k vesting over 4 years

Yeah, I got something in the middle

Meta tvzM62 Sep 8, 2023

Middle of what? Can you give an example of level, initial grant, and refresh?

The Trade Desk uqRH76 Sep 9, 2023

Senior, 300k, 100k

Never a good sign when they won't tell you the numbers. I love how Meta has targets for each level and you can easily find them. TTD seems so much more opaque. They definitely aren't a top tier payer like Meta is.

Sure, good for you.

Well compare the company sizes. At least here people are not so obsessed with performance reviews and ratings and associated comp. Source: was Meta before
