Graduated 2022, and started in May. I've been at Google for 5ish months now, and I don't think it's the right fit for me. I've only interned at start ups before, so everything was more fast paced. Since they were during COVID, Ive adjusted and wfh. Having superficial conversations and lunch is just not my cup of tea, and I hate coming into the office 3x a week. Does it look bad if I leave now? Please give some opinions. Edit: Split 50/50đ„
Stay and try to learn and jump internally
The economy, school debt, and rent are at the top of my concerns. I've relocated for Google, but I don't think I can take another month.
Sure, go find whatâs better out there You rant like goog is making u slave out for free yo
Leave if it's not a cultural fit. Don't leave if you hate being with people and want to WFH. WFH is terrible for new grads and you should adjust.
Is WFH really that bad for new grads? My team is basically heads down most of the time and doesn't even pair program or ask questions out loud
Wfh is not terrible for early career people As if things were better in person for collab. I'd say collab in remote work is better as everything tends to end up in messages/emails so following up is easier/more efficient
Try a fully remote gig at amazon. Impactful work, pay decent, pip factory.

TC or GTFO
Itâs a goog new grad. Tc is self explanatory
Looks like the recession and layoffs donât apply to you.
Grateful layoffs and reorgs have not happened yet at Google....
You should stay and get experience, being in office is great for early stage career you canât learn from WFH. Be patient and build your career path. It is worth it. Lots of people have a dream about where you work. Be grateful and learn. Build your path then find the great opportunity and move on.
You working for 5 months on first job and you cribbing about culture fit. If thatâs what it is gtfo and have a story, no matter what itâll look bad
Leave but find a job first. Donât let adrenaline make decisions for you.

Where will you go? Nothing wrong with leaving but given your experience level, find a place to go first.
