This is why Apple is the most overrated FAANG!

Apple market cap has been highest from a long time because of nice profit margin. Apple isn’t a tech company, it’s a marketing company. They sell their product at 1000% profit by manufacturing items in China. Apart from that, Apple does racketeering by extorting companies’ revenue if you have app on AppStore. All the in app purchases, companies have to pay 30% of the revenue. This is why you will find companies usually have payment signup off the app to prevent this 30% revenue cut. For example, Spotify & Netflix let you signup and register credit card info on website not on the app for this reason. Glad that Microsoft took over the highest market cap. Secondly, instructional investors were hiding their money in apple think of it like a bank when macroeconomic were uncertain. I believe market will use Microsoft & Nvdia as the prime stock to hide money/ invest institutional funds and get some growth as well. #apple

what do you expect? flying phone?

Mailchimp uavsyb OP Feb 17

Risk taking and innovate by adding features like Samsung. Have you seen Samsung flip and fold?

Apple knrT07 Feb 17

How is flipping and folding useful on a phone lol? Seems gimmicky to me

Unfortunately the thoughtless masses of sheep will still upgrade every 2-3 years, regardless of how little the changes are... And apple knows this. It's seen as a status symbol. I work tirelessly to try to help elevate Android devices, making slow but steady progress.

Wayfair LaidOffPR Feb 17

YES. Blaming customers for not buying your product is the right approach. Idiots. They don’t understand.

Cisco ksdjhfkjsd Feb 17

Apple deserves it's valuation because it is the Shepard with the largest herd.

Breakthroughs don’t happen every year. What do you expect the phone to do? It’s already a full blown computer that does virtually anything you’d want it to do. Folding phones are nonsense, feel flimsy, cheap and are a gimmick. I suppose it’s cool engineering wise to be able to do it but as a consumer it does absolutely nothing of value.

Cisco RqJD40 Feb 17

You don't need to carry both a phone and a tablet

Okta steeeve Feb 17

If you want to get a shitty phone experience and a shitty tablet experience then that is always an option. Tablet is a very basic laptop in my view. It best needs its own keyboard and a trackpad. Otherwise you’re not doing much beyond watching movies unless you have a use case for the pencil. Phone is for doing very quick and basic things; filming home porn, making a shopping list. A big phone is terrible. You lug that thing along everywhere all the time while it’s pulling your pants down or fucking up the inner pockets of your 10k tuxedo. No thank you. I’ll take a phone and a tablet separately.

Toast cr3em Feb 17

You’re joking right? The difference between the 11 pro and 15 pro is huge in terms of capabilities. Of course the design is similar, all phones look the same for the most part

We all have AAPL and MSFT stock units. Don’t care about which company is at the top of the mountain as long as they continue being both at the top. Buy the dip friends.

I agree it’s overrated. But iPhone still sells like hotcakes, when that’s over, Apple is over.

As long as it makes money legally, it's 1000000 times better than politicians. Why not pay attention to that more ?

Ralph Lauren wwbertay Feb 17

Apple have put out a number of market leading, game changing products over the last 20 years. I agree, however, with your overall sentiment of how scummy their business practices are. They are quite despicable. They use slave labor and (legally) avoid paying any significant taxes. Go figure.
