Thoughts on Posturetalk, Powertalk, Babytalk and Gametalk?

Recovering Clueless/sociopath in training here, what’s the best way to learn how to get better at power talk? Any books/advice/resources would be much appreciated! “The Sociopath (capitalized) layer comprises the Darwinian/Protestant Ethic will-to-power types who drive an organization to function despite itself. The Clueless layer is what Whyte called the “Organization Man,” but the archetype inhabiting the middle has evolved a good deal since Whyte wrote his book (in the fifties). The Losers are not social losers (as in the opposite of “cool”), but people who have struck bad bargains economically – giving up capitalist striving for steady paychecks” https://www.ribbonfarm.com/2009/11/11/the-gervais-principle-ii-posturetalk-powertalk-babytalk-and-gametalk/ TC:145k

You’re not a sociopath, sociopaths have been observing people their whole lives so they already know how humans interact with each other... “aspiring sociopath” please you just like the idea of being different and “mysterious” maybe have people be a little “afraid” of you. LOL

Clearly you didn’t read the series, sociopath in this context is different - “The Sociopath (capitalized) layer comprises the Darwinian/Protestant Ethic will-to-power types who drive an organization to function despite itself. The Clueless layer is what Whyte called the “Organization Man,” but the archetype inhabiting the middle has evolved a good deal since Whyte wrote his book (in the fifties). A sociopath is a sociopath.

I enjoy how you felt the need to edit your post. From “clueless/aspiring sociopath” to “ recovering clueless/sociopath”

What are you trying to prove by showing you found it on HN?

Do this the right way. Study Social Engineering instead.

I’ve been on /r/socialengineering, but beyond that don’t know any other resources. Any recommendations?

You should probably delete this thread OP. Meme personalities like the one you wish to become are silly. Browse reddit or hacker news if you want to be that pseudo-nerd you’ve always wanted to be.

Do people really want to become that? Jfc

PeerStreet 6’6 Indian OP Aug 12, 2018

Not a personality but a way of thinking. The Protestant will to power work ethic of a sociopath is what makes a company succeed, despite itself. I plan to start a company some day so it would be useful to learn these things
