Wondering if San Antonio is a great place to live or not. In terms of tech jobs, weather, things to do, schools, demographic, etc. Looking at housing, you can get some AMAZING mansions for the same price as a tear down in the Bay Area so really considering it.
San Antonio sucks , you better be willing to trade cheap housing for hot summers, Mexican food, and the least impressive city in Texas. O and 90% Hispanic population.
Are u white?
San Antonio is probably the worst major city in Texas. Awful.
Military base, so good for military positions. Don’t know of any tech jobs.
The only good thing about San Anontio is it's somewhat close to Austin.
A lot of hate for San Antonio here...I would love to live in San Antonio, the housing is cheap, I think the city is delightful, laid back, good culture, fantastic food, etc. Way better than Houston, Houston is a pit. But yeah there's no tech culture to speak of. Don't consider moving there unless you have a remote job and don't mind driving 90 min to Austin for any tech community interaction. School quality largely depends on the suburb you live in
Someone's only ever been a tourist in Houston...
Thanks everyone for talking me away from the ledge :)
There are places in Texas you can live within reasonable commuting distance of the Alamo. Don't live in SA
San Antonio sucks austin is way better
Austin it is..
San Antonio is fine if you’re trying to raise a family with lots of space. Wouldn’t recommend it to a young person though
