Thoughts on Uber's response today

Travis' memo today on the incident. What do Uber employees think ?

LinkedIn LaLaLand17 Feb 20, 2017

This is just a damage control move! If he really cared, things would't have reached this point.

Microsoft NdfC35 Feb 20, 2017

What a pathetic, tone-deaf, self-serving response. I don't know what he was thinking plugging those diversity numbers in the same email. As if even if 50% of the workforce were women, that would be substantive in this case. Travis is in over his head in a market that is going to be defined, more than anything, by brand. Sorry Uber, but you done goofed in the US market.

They got Twitter's number wrong. It's 15% and not 10.

Microsoft NdfC35 Feb 20, 2017

I know and it makes it that much worse! Not only is the statistic not really relevant to this issue and mostly serves as a distraction, it isn't even true! Lol! Travis is trying to take a card from Trump's book, but he plays it too soft and to the wrong group of people. Seriously amateur hour.

Wow, Eric Holder is going to conduct the investigation? That's very impressive. He has an impeccable record and a person who served the President wouldn't bow down to a CEO so I guess it would be a fair investigation.

Uber Qwertyas Feb 20, 2017

He has a history with uber. Spoke in support of our background check policies

Just some PR shit.Travis doesn't give a shit. Some heads should have rolled by now. especially the chief of hr. He gives 0 shit about women and the country alike.

Twitter outsidein Feb 23, 2017

Head of hr is super new so she is not to blame. He should resign.

Uber Blahboo Feb 20, 2017
