Thoughts on “innovation arm/ventures” teams within companies throughout financial services

Hey All, I noticed amonst some buldge bracket banks, that there a couple of jobs opening up that are within these “innovation arm” divisions, where the main responsibilities consist of market research within the fintech industry (cryptos etc.) along with prototyping products to pitch to these firms and among other industry players. Just wanted to know the Blind community’s thoughts on these relatively new initiatives? I understand that technology is gonna be a huge factor within the financial services sector and can see a bit on why these teams were built, but at the same time, was wondering about the stability, legitimacy, and future of these teams.
