Down 25% since July and back to June 2017 price. Good deal?
Don’t catch a falling knife
Why buying now? Do you see any reason why they would go back up anytime soon? Just scandals after scandals.. no positive news in a long time.
Portal is going to be a game changer. Same as Amazon Fire ;)
Going further down. Read the leaked email from that guy who is leaving. Sharing is dwindling - that's a very key metric for FB.
This has been common knowledge for years. Facebook has almost zero original content other than food, and baby pictures, and political rants.
Their business model is not very resilient. Customers are fickle and the entire platform could easily be the next myspace in 5 years. Increasing regulatory scrutiny is another source of risk that is hard to control for. They got hit with back-to-back bad stories on their role in corrupting he US election, data breaches, genocide in myanmar, and so on. It’s getting the point where it doesn’t just look like bad luck. It looks like a business model that is far from future-proofed. Last time I came on here saying the same I got laughed off of Blind and people bragging about buying more, and the stock has fallen another 20% since. People cannot provide a cohesive answer for how Facebook will grow, rather than shrink, in the future. All their growth now is in unprofitable int’l segments. They are losing their grip on ad revenue in profitable established markets with no plan to improve. So yeah, I’d dump this stock if you have not already.
A little part of me dies every time I see someone use the logic of “it’s been going down/up so it must continue going down/up.”
Still 2bn+ people use it. That must worth something.
I’ll buy more if it dips after the next earnings report.
Facebook is a garbage company with a garbage product. I wouldn’t work there, use their “product”, or buy their stock.
Facebook is on the decline. There isn’t much upside left for them.
Instagram. WhatsApp. Facebook Events and Groups are still solid products. I agree the core product is a bit on the decline (in the US at least, can’t speak for global) but I largely blame that on the News Feed team.
