I have a base resume which is usually scraped from my coworkers LinkedIn’s (idgaf, they won’t see it anyways) From here, I customize it to match as many keywords from the job description as possible. For example, if they say “OOP” instead of “Object Oriented Programming”, I’ll change mine to say OOP. Usually one job app takes me 1-2 hours but I only apply for stuff I’m super interested in. Rarely ever resume blast. On my computer I keep a folder for each job app with the description, custom resume and any other files I may have for it

Do you know anybody from the companies you’re applying to? IME referrals have been the only way to reliably get interviews.
