7am wakeup, after 4 hours of sleep 730 bus is late 9am arrive at work nauseated 930-12: frustrating back to back meetings with minimal results Etc etc
No sleep, ever and have to do my life!
6am wake up
9pm sev 2 continues until 3am. You pass out. Re pages you at 4am. Then the problem goes away. A different problem pops up at 7am. You resolve it this time and pass out. You go to work like a zombie at 9am. You don't find out what the hell the original problem was until the next week when you read the news and find out Google knocked out the fucking internet by rerouting traffic incorrectly in the country that was alarming when you got paged. You're salaried and your company doesn't compensate you for working those extra 8 hours over night https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/technology/google-error-causes-widespread-internet-outage-in-japan/
Wake up 5:30 to catch 6am bus. Gym friend cancels our workout after I'm already on said bus, making my ungodly early alarm pointless. Nobody restocked the kitchen at work last night, so there's nothing to eat, but I'm already at work, and I'm too tired already to leave again and go get something, so I'll just be hungry and cranky until lunch. Parents call me asking for money, and don't even pause to ask me how I'm doing, even though we haven't talked in weeks if not months. I agree to do whatever they ask and don't complain, and then feel like a sucker the minute they hang up. People at work didn't invite me to any of the preparation for a project and then give me less than five seconds to comment on it when they spring it on me, and then declare that I had no feedback and move on to the next thing. I spend the rest of the quarter trying to deliver something that doesn't make sense once I've pried the relevant information piece by piece from half a dozen parties that really want to own it. Six or seven o'clock rolls by. I miss the last bus home. The Uber driver is pissed I want a ride to East Bay. I crawl into bed and visualize going home and then just going on a summer long hunting trip where I don't talk to another human being and don't have to wear a bra for months.
All in all not bad. One of these days, though, is going to be the last day, and I'm totally flipping San Francisco off in the rear view mirror.
I’m not wearing bra for years
