EB1 is backlogged and getting worse while EB2/3/4 are current for ROW. Is there such a thing as too many PhD/outstanding researchers/professors for America?
Depends on which country.
This will continue to happen as long as the body shopping Indian consultancies keep operating. Unless there are regulations to stop low skilled workers from clogging up the queue, this problem won't go away.
I doubt op is from India. Eb2/3/4 current no way
The problem extends beyond just the green card. A friend of mine had his 3rd and final try at the h1b lottery this year and he didn't get through despite having a MS in the STEM field from an Ivy league school. I've seen how this system can mentally break someone down to the point that they stop believing in themselves :(
Don't kid yourself an actual Nobel Prize winner will have the state department literally rolling out the red carpet to let them skip queue.
which EB will they be in?
Nope they have to get in through eb1. Same rules apply bro
EB1 eligibility needs to be updated. any tom dick harry with 1 yr managerial experience / title is regarded same as a rocket scientist, said nobel winners and rockstar phds. pathetic!!
Agreed. Published some papers at University? Great. You are a world expert. Have an EB-1
Not any 1 year exp. it has to be with same employer abroad and then be invited to join in US with same employer. You got to be good in what you do.
What country? Why not apply eb2/3/4 instead ?
Why is a Nobel Prize winner better than an agriculture worker? Stop being so judgemental. Agriculture workers are people too, and no less important than anyone else.
undocumented immigrants are people too, why not let them have gc?
Then why have EB1/2/3? Put them all in the same damn single queue.
Open borders or gtfo
Gtfo. Please
Food is pretty important to have.
Canada and Australia already ran out of food.
pretty sure a nobel prize winner will go through the O class visa so there's that
O visa is not gc bruv
We have a lot of mediocre PhD's in this country, too. They're not all Nobel laureates.
