What does it mean by 80%, 100% etc. Rewards? How do you calculate it? Also, does anyone know what is average merit and bonus percentage at Microsoft?
Each level has a target bonus and refresher. If your level's target bonus is x and you get x then you got 100%. If you get 2x bonus then you got 200% and so on.
Its small enough that if you have any brains you will leave after a year or two.
Every level has it’s bonus range (usually like 0-20%, that is percentage of your yearly eligible salary). The rewards percentage (0-200%) is a multiplier. Therefore, if your range is 0-20% and you got 100% performance, it means your cash bonus will be 10% of your annual salary. Anything below 100% means “below expectations for current level”, 100% is “meets expectations”, anything over that means “exceeds expectations”, and usually 200% is max you can get, although in very rare cases people get even 210% or 220%
Thank you for the explanation.. this really helps!
