What are the tax implications? I already have a Vanguard Roth IRA. Quit my last job with 100k in a traditional 401k account. I'm looking into moving that 100k into the Vanguard Roth IRA but don't know how much in taxes I'd owe.
You can’t move 100k per year into Roth conversion. I think max is around 25K ish per year through mega backdoor roth and 6k per year through general backdoor roth.
Not true. Look up Roth Ladder.
You’d have to pay taxes on the $100k based on your income tax bracket.
I think it will be like your salary has increased by 100k. I want to know if there is an option to deduct tax directly from 401k fund. In my opinion 100k will be transferred to roth ira account. I am also interested in conversion, but worried if I have to pay tax separately. I want tax to be deducted at source. I am ok with having 100k-tax in roth account.
