Feels like super power. Midwest to bay area with new model X
💯% agree. I did a long drive of about 400-500 miles and loved the FSD. I don’t know why people don’t like it. They should experience it first.
Because it requires you to stay attentive, and it's more brain consuming to stay attentive while the car is driving (to be able to take control at any time) than just driving yourself.
Yes, but it takes away soo much from you on the highways. I can actually pay attention to audio or music.
Want FSD more than anything but the sorta FSD seems bad, lulls you in to false sense of security
I tried it, had to take the wheel about five minutes in, which made the rest of the drive less than relaxing. I don't want Fully Supervised Driving. I'm already busy enough just watching out for everyone else's cars to do something stupid. I don't want to be watching out for my car to do something stupid too. I'll give it another look when they're confident enough to get rid of the "hands on the wheel" requirement.
It's not self driving. U have to pay attention and take over anytime. How does that help?
During long drives it helps to avoid errors, accidents Its supervised but just like using chat gpt for work it boosts your ability
Hi OP, do you have an estimate of how much it cost you for the full drive? Trying to understand if a long drive like this is less or more expensive on Tesla EVs vs gas-powered cars.
I find it more work and stress to use FSD because of the need to be ready to take over at a moments notice, than just driving the car myself. So while I think that FSD is a fantastic technical achievement, it's not really solved any actual problem for me. And I don't see why I should pay Elon in order to provide him with labeled datasets for his model training.
They should name it "FSD but not really FSD" 😂
Just fly. Or be driven by waymo.
Someone will end up dead next in FSD

v12 is actually pretty good and drives more like a human.
Distracted and poorly?
Seriously? I have v12 and it doesn't drive very well. It breaks if someone 10 ft in the front and in next lane turns on a blinker and allows them to merge. Drives through potholes. Exits carpool lane to let people pass even when you are driving 70+
