Live Stock Market Updates: Coronavirus Crisis Continues https://nyti.ms/2Vw6afC
Unh, wasn't this Obama's economy? /s Trump's wrong to take credit for Fed blowing balloons.
Yeah it will prob cost him re-election. Keep America Great = maintain the post-recession status quo of Obama (drone bombings, tax breaks for companies, migrant child-detentions, a looming worse crisis coz the last one was just papered over.)
Did you blame him for the economy doing well? Then fuck him now. You don't get to praise him for the good unless you also blame him for bthe bad.
🙄
I dislike everything about Trump but this isn’t his fault. Don’t become like ‘I blame Obama’ idiots.
Did they blame him for the economy doing well? Then fuck him now. They don't get to praise him for the good unless you also blame him for bthe bad.
This is how Democrats become a cult
I for one am welcome our democratic overlords 😬
We aren't the one with uniforms.....
One of us
It isn’t a matter of blaming Trump for anything in specific. But this incipient crisis can burn him in two ways: 1. The historic incumbency advantage is tied to perception of the economy. To this point it was in his favor. That may change. Timing of the bottom is key. 2. If the USA has a COVID-19 crisis and Trump bungles it (likely), this will also not help his chances. He could bungle it by either underresponding or overresponding (or the first followed by the second). Overresponding will aggravate the damage to the economy and enhance the first factor. He’s shaping up to be a right-wing version of Carter, but the timing of the peak of the crisis will be key. In 2008 it hit at the worst possible time for Republicans. Peaking early and showing signs of recovery by November will minimize the impact.
Good analysis! I also think the market may be responding negatively not only to the direct effects of the corona virus but to higher chances if a Democrat becoming next president. Where will the markets be if bernie becomes president?
Sharply down at first, and there’s a danger that a capital strike might cause a serious economic crisis. But failing that I’d expect it to creep up slowly after an initial massive sell off and then behave as normal.
Actually he has been fantastic for the stock market. Anything to bash him though right?
Eh if I was just bashing I'd comment on his mail order wife, water sports fetish, orange face, tiny hands, and pedophile children. But that would be rude.
Fake news.
I hear now they have good counsellors for victims of TDS. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hope you get over this tough time. TDS can wreck havoc on your life, its no joke.
Bless your heart
If he takes credit for stock market doing well, he has to own the blame too!
did you see the word coronavirus? or do you need your glasses fixed?
No, we all know Trump = Corona Virus = all the bad things in the world. Duh! </sarcasm>
Did you blame him for the economy doing well? Then fuck him now. You don't get to praise him for the good unless you also blame him for the bad.
