When Twilio job descriptions list the salary range and then list ‘Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio’s Equity Plan’ does that mean RSUs? How good are the RSUs for non-tech roles?
Or does it mean the Employee Stock Purchase Plan
this
Then is there a way to know where stocks are offered for the role? If it’s not written in the salary range and there is no other mention of RSUs, should I assume there are no RSUs?
It’s RSUs. I joined under the marketing team in a non tech role but still got RSUs. I think they do differ by level and role, where tech roles like swes get the highest grant in each level band. The salary range is also base and only for Colorado and 2nd tier col locations.
Colorado is Tier 3 band New York & Seattle are Tier 2, the rest of the major cities in the US are tier 3… then random locations are tier 4 and below
Hmm thanks. Should have asked you earlier before I negotiated 😆
I work at Twilio… and yes you get RSUs but I don’t know what the equity package looks like for Non-Tech roles
All employees are eligible for ESPP. RSUs are not included in the posted salary range. I do not know what they are for non-tech, but they’re non-0. Source: hiring manager in R&D
Do you have cash or stock bonus (in addition to RSU) for tech roles?
No / rarely
My stock grant for a non tech role was 7x my base salary.
Oh amazing, how many YOE did you have? What do you think is achievable with about 7 years of experience?
I’m at almost 20 yoe (director). with 7 years depends on the role. For junior roles the base to RSU ratio is closer but I hired someone with 5 yoe and the RSU grant was 3x base.
That's espp
Oooof these salaries are way lower than Salesforce. Thanks!
Incorrect. It is referring to RSUs. The salary range posted is base salary only.
