Twitch has a full loop for internal transfer from Amazon, does it mean they don't care for Forte? Any other org?

I recall that Twitch always has a full loop for internal transfers from Amazon to Twitch. (You click Apply, your manager is notified, you have a full loop.) Does it mean they don't look into Forte and don't talk to your old manager? Any other org has a similar procedure? Is there any waiting period? Do you interview on company time, or do you have to take vacation, or up to old manager? I'm curious how do the folk who are taken out of Focus by HRBP switch teams when their old rating may be NI or LE, and the manager might be less than enthusiastic about providing a good reference after the HRBP got involved. Same for someone who fails Pivot, but wins Pivot Appeal. You're supposed to be above the bar in such a situation, but your rating may still show you as LE or NI in the last Forte, plus the manager might not be pleased that they lost the Appeal. Do you get any sort of an assumed identity / witness protection, for such situations? 🕵️ Or do you have to manually explain the situation to every SDM whose team you may be interested in joining? And trust the old SDM who hasn't Earned Trust that they won't violate policies when evidence exists that they've already violated policies in the past? #tech #amazonbenefits #amazonpip #norehire #HRBP #Focus #Pivot #Appeal TC: ¼ mil SDE-II 📉

I see no reason why they would have a full loop. They can see your Amazon artifacts so what exactly they hoping to accomplish with a loop? I’d refuse anything more than LP rounds.

Well, that's what everyone says about Twitch. 🤷‍♂️ TBH, I'd rather have a full loop than have my SDM badmouth and belittle my contributions.

Ignore what blind says they know nothing. Go and reach out to their hiring managers directly on Slack. They have a twitch slack workspace and sometimes active on AWS slack.

It is considered a subsidiary of Amazon and as such, it goes through a full loop. This is obviously to make it harder to quit. You even have to formally apply to the position before interviewing.

Harder to quit? What do you mean? I think it's the same stock for Twitch, plus I don't think you even get a new TC, do you? Plus can't switch levels, either, can you? Do other subsidiaries have a full loop, too?

Harder to quit Amazon for Twitch. It's not the same stock, it's not the same level, it's not the same bar. An L7 at Amazon can come as VP at Twitch. Yes, it's the same for Audible too.
