I applied to and went to an onsite at Twitch. It's my dream company and the people there are so smart and interesting. I'm sitting around waiting for a call back about if I got the job or not and I'm very very nervous I won't get and I won't get another chance. Is there anyone at Twitch that can help ease my mind? I guess Im just venting here, cause I've been waiting for 3 days (and they said they get back to people fast, like within a week) and I can't stop checking my phone!
Are you 22? 23? Just occupy yourself and wait. You’re going to find any job you over glamorize in your mind, after arriving and doing it for a couple months, is still just a job not unlike any other job. If you don’t get it, it’s certainly not the end of the world or your last opportunity to work there. And don’t obsessively email the recruiter or the hiring team either asking for updates.
100% this. Not worth glamorizing any job, because it is just that and nothing more.
I'm 30 😝 I'm staying silent and not emailing anyone, just waiting for an update. A job is definitely still a job but I've learned that if you don't like who you work with, a job can be really horrible even if the work itself isn't too bad.
DM me your info and I’ll make sure a recruiter gets back to you
Just FYI I didn't get the position.
Bittersweet to click on the like button. No biggy tho, just apply to mixer or YouTube gaming
Find out if they have a cool down period, network with some Twitch folks to ask them how you can beef up your appeal, and try again. You’ll go in more confident the second time now that the mystery is past.
You just want to be bought off by the thots with lewd nudes. That is a good dream tbf
