Twitter Ads or Amazon AWS?

I have an offer from Twitter Ads team in SF and Amazon EBS team in Seattle. Place is not a concern for me. Pay is approx same at both places even accounting for Seattle state tax. Which one is better from a learning and career growth perspective?

Twitter

Iā€™d say avoid EBS...

Amazon Dockerā¤ļøā¤ļø Apr 12, 2018

Donā€™t join EBS

New Twitter Eng VP šŸ’Æ; great team where you can learn a lot and have lots of rooms to grow and meaningfully contribute. Though SF < Seattle ....

Seattle state tax? Seattle is not a state and the state itā€™s in has no income tax.

I've been at both companies. Twitter over Amazon is an easy choice

Twitter is full of millennial SJWs eating chef prepared food while literally stepping over the homeless to get into work every day. If you can fit in that environment, great.

lol, I work at twitter. Iā€™m 50 years old. I volunteer in the tenderloin quite regularly... Twitter makes that super easy. You need to upgrade your troll game.

Amazon Ember Apr 13, 2018

Twitter is going down and Amazon is going up each year.

Twitter SF94 Apr 13, 2018

Not true for last year.

Amazon dusudjdj Apr 13, 2018

Lol, I guess the answer depends on how long Trump will be in office. Trump loves Twitter, hates Amazon.

Not sure what EBS is, but do you find ads interesting? I've heard from many engineers that ad tech can be pretty stale for them...

Twitter for sure. Not many hiring opportunities in cloud going forward. If you have to switch later, you will have very few options. Trend seems to be building ML apps or services on cloud. Twitter has better culture and you get lot more exposure working in a relatively small company.
