Twitter hiring status

Got into the interview pipeline a couple weeks ago. Will the change in ownership affect anything related to that? Potential for a hiring freeze?

Rumor has it they will cut like 7K staff. I'd imagine there would be a temporary hiring freeze at least. Elon is all about efficiency, and redundant teams will be removed.

I thought twitter only has 7,000 employees (according to LinkedIN)

Rumor is he’s going to force RTO and terminate everyone that doesn’t show up. Then cull the remaining dead weight via pip.

Nah, he’s too stingy to pay for an office in SF. He might force everyone to go work in his backyard in Austin instead lol

I haven’t heard anything about a hiring freeze yet, but kind of expecting it. Honestly, Elon or not we overtired a bit last year and the headcount this year has been low.
