According to an internal memo, X thinks that X is valued at $19 billion. https://twitter.com/RMac18/status/1719055397200564603 Me thinks that it would have been valued 4-8 billion if the company was public. 1) 3 Billion revenue 2) 50% YOY decline in revenue 3) Push gimmicky features and call it innovation. 4) Mgmt looks clueless 5) Upcoming competitor. Threads has 18% market share in microblogging sphere within few months of launch 6) Toxic brand perception Update: For muskwits that are butt hurt by me pulling numbers out of thin air: I think I have been very generous by putting the upper bound at $8 billion for a business that lost 50% in revenue. #Twitter #Threads #Elon #X #valuation
Why not apply your genius in fundamental analysis to some public company so you can make real money?
The butthurt is strong with this one
I am making good money. Thank you for your concern.
I can code X for 1 month, hilarious
Do it and sell for $19B
Nah, I rich enough
Agree with OP. People are just ignorant. Elon did not buy it willingly, he was forced to buy it at 44B $. That’s because he is an idiot
He willingly entered the deal first? Nobody put a gun on his head to do that initially? Literally
Entered the deal, realized it was screwed up, tried to back away but realized Delaware court is not going to allow it
Becoming Google+ very soon
Last I checked it was valued at about $15B and it’s probably worth even less today. Source: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/elon-musk-twitter-worth-a-third-of-its-44-billion-price-tag-fidelity/
These are the valuations put up by Fidelity, X and Co who are all invested in the company obviously. They don't want to drastically downvalue their investments on the book.
There is no way Twitter would be worth close to that on the public market. This is just gradual markdown from fidelity et al. It'll go lower.
I think 8 billion is too generous. There is basically no ads business anymore. 3 billion would have maybe been if the transition was smoother and the company was not led by a manic on drugs. The world known and respected brand was destroyed for no reason. More and more toxicity and spam on the platform.

Every new feature rolled out seems to have a ton of bugs. The stuff that was built before Elon seems to be barely holding the site together. Kudos to the engineers that ended up getting fired

Why I Find Free Palestine Inspiring
Why musk bought this? There must be some purpose. Otherwise it would be completely wasting 40billion for him
He owns the narrative now. Priceless
Legally compelled to buy no?
