Curious which platform has helped you land a foot-in-the-door for tech interviews. I see people rave about Twitter being a better place to network with tech professionals to land opportunities. But my reality has been quite different. I have about 800+ followers on Twitter with more than 80% being 1st and 2nd degree followers. However only LinkedIn and Blind have opened doors for me as a mid-career professional. Blind got me more referrals than LinkedIn and Twitter combined. LinkedIn got me more recruiters and hiring managers reaching out to me with opportunities than Twitter. Those of you who landed opportunitis via Twitter, can you give me more context on what helped you get noticed there? #tech #linkedin #blind #twitter #interviews
I've received more success with Blind instead of other channels
All ten of the companies I interviewed with last year were referrals from blind. I'm shitty at networking so that's not bad at all for someone like me.
Posting work on Twitter helped me land a lot of interviews with very good companies. As someone early in their career LinkedIn wasn’t really that great.
Blind helps me with understanding what it's "really" like within a company instead of the same ole company PR bullshit people try to sell you
None, i dont network so its pure cold apply
A fellow man of culture 🙂
