Modi is a legend, will be remembered for centuries to come
Hi I’m IC7 and in the process of receiving offer from Two Sigma. I’m wondering how their comp structure different from tech? I heard they don’t have high RSUs but they compensate with bonus. How is it for senior folks since the data is limited on TC for Two Sigma. Thanks. #twosigma #janestreet #citadel
They’ll easily match whatever you make in cash. Maybe even couple hundred k more
Does cash include RSUs?
Cash is cash. It’s a privately held company, there are no RSUs on offer.
Congrats!! How did you prep and current tc?
Prep for me was mainly LC refreshing. The rest I did not prep since I do ML and system design quite often. Also I know ML foundations so did not prep for that.
What is LM?
What is your current TC? If meta can grow like 10% more per year, it is better to stay in tech than TS.
10% per yr at Meta is doable because of refresher. But additional equity is not guaranteed anymore
It depends on your skillset. Two Sigma does not pay the best so it might just be a lateral TC move (although it will be all cash) Don't listen to other blinders. At senior levels like IC7, hopping to the HFT world is not the crazy comp bump people think it is. I suspect Two Sigma will come in just slightly over your current comp at Meta if they really, really want you (especially since you benefited from some recent stock appreciation) Citadel will pay whatever it takes to get you, and can actually get you a meaningful comp bump, but that's because Citadel is revolving door and pretty toxic place to work. For most people I would say not worth the TC. The really good firms that IMO are truly worth joining over a very senior position in tech (Jane Street and HRT) typically don't look for external hires with profiles like yours. They like hiring the best out of college and growing them internally.
Yeah OP don't listen to misinformation from other posters, listen to misinformation from this one.
Pretty sure I’ve worked longer at Citadel than you have, but ok.
If you're working through a non TS recruiter - (a) not a good recruiter, (b) since they clearly haven't explained this to you - you really need to sit down and have them explain a bunch of things about comp and what your expectations are and what you should ask for and how the whole shebang works. If you are working directly with TS feel free to DM.
What is shebang?
#!
Hard to say without knowing your current TC at Meta. TC or GTFO
tc or gtfo
two sigma said tc or gtfo

That is why I said no data for higher level. I checked it but not sure how they pay senior folks since I heard they TC is comparable or even higher sometimes than tech
