Got 2 offers, amazon (sde2) and atlassian (senior but interviewed for principal) Downleveled at both 😄 Going to keep trying till i get a legit senior opportunity, which companies in the current market should i try for? Current yoe: 7 Current tc: 335 ( with stock volatility range is ridiculous ) Atlassian: 360 Amazon: ?
Id take it
Take what
Take any of the offers that he likes more and try to keep interviewing if unhappy
SDE2 can beat your L5 Block offer
Can it beat 400?
That's not L5 offer. That's just stock growth. SDE2 will go upto 350k
Everyone is down leveling at this point
Yea
Why do you think you’re a principal engineer and not just senior like those interviewers thought? Years of work experience doesn’t equate to seniority level.
I dont i am looking for legit senior industry opportunities.
Agree with Microsoft, if two different companies both downleveled you then take the hint. I’ve only been downleveled on an offer once and it’s because I bombed the interview.
Square senior isn’t senior either. It’s Amazon SDE 2 equivalent. Take Atlassian as it’s remote. Culture is similar to block if not worse
Hence why im looking
Is atlassian offer for lcol? Amazon l5 can go upto 400k
Mcol
Why are you trying to leave Block? Interviewing there atm
comapny has just been in reorg for last 6 months. morale was low given layoffs and lack of clarity l6 promo may take more than a year due to reorg stuff
If its for MCol, then its top of line offer for senior/p50. Whats the split of base/stock?
210 base, 500
This is top of range for MCOl I would take it. Also remote and can work 90 days outside the US
Atlassian Senior is not downlevelling.
I thought senior is viewed as sde 2 at other places, is that the case?
Atlassian P50, P60 overall should be mapped ho Amazon SDE3.
How's atlassian downleved when it's senior? What are the numbers? Meta is hiring, just interviewed recently.
Atlassian senior is considered sde 2.5
I didnt pass meta
