What’s the typical comp package for a senior software engineer at Microsoft? I’m waiting to hear back from an interview and I asked 160 base. What does equity, bonus typically look like? I’m assuming I’ll be between levels 62-64
Negotiate hard for sign on stock, annual refresh sucks
I don’t get why Microsoft is able to get away with paying so much below market value. At amazon, google, Facebook etc. the standard offer for Sr is closer to 100k/year in stock and similar base. What is going on?
I’ve never worked somewhere where stock is offered so I’m not sure what a good amount/vest is. What’s typical?
Target 275k/yr at 63 including joining bonus n stocks ....
I am in Bay Area hired at 63 recently. Base: $180k Stock: $300k / 4 yrs Sign-on cash: $80k (2 yrs). If you are in Seattle, pay might be lower
Was the interview tough? Any tips?

Senior is 63-64. Base in Seattle for 63 is $160k-$180k for new hires. Bonus is 15% target. Stock: $100k / 4-5 yrs (try to negotiate $150k+). Sign on cash: $0-$100k depending on negotiation
How about 64? What does the base range look like?
Don't know. For 63, I have data points from recent hires.
