How are your skills, and the ones of your coworkers? How much of what you do, daily, relies on true typing speed vs knowing your keyboard shortcuts? I thought I was hot shit in school but I think I’d be closer to your average touch typist now. I’m at 75 wpm at 100% before I start making errors, that’s pretty much the limit of what I need to use at work. Also, has anyone experimented with alternate arrangement keyboards that have worked better for you?
I switched from querty to Dvorak. My typing speed went up by close to 20% in the first few weeks. I normally would do somewhere in between 90-100 wpm in querty. With Dvorak, I now sometimes have close to 150 wpm.
This is interesting ... My Querty averages to 125 WPM... I am gonna try Dvorak.. Thanks
