3 executives are also departing. CNBC just announced while reporting their earnings.
Their delivery fee was such a ripoff
Didn’t the COO make 15 millions recently? No lock up?
Getting rid of management layers huh?
Getting replaced with far worse new management. Always happens.
Everyone I know so far that was affected was IC
Who is actually buying from Instacart? The price is doubled there, not to mention tips for the shoppers. I know it’s convenient but I still need to cook them
Who need Instacart while you can order online from most of stores nowadays and Drive-Up to pick up? Maybe only for people can’t/don’t want to leave their house
I don’t have a car and WFH. Getting groceries delivered is super convenient. Many stores have price parity and in store deals on the apps for my last $250 order the service fee was $9 bucks delivery fee was $0 but had to pay $100 upfront for the year. I tipped well through 15%. But most people seem to tip 5% because that’s the default and the drivers complain about it. Saved a bunch of time and didn’t have to spend money on a car that’s just gonna sit there depreciating, pay insurance or pay to maintain. Instacart is one of the few ways you can buy free time and at least in my situation saves me money. Also to the other guy, Instacart does pickup too even, if you are on a grocers website, the site could be built by Instacart or at least delegates the deliveries to them.
Everyone was told via email if they were being laid off or keeping their jobs. Terrible.
Fidji simo best manager
Google employees found out they were laid off when they couldn't log in on their work laptops.
