I recently got an offer from Juniper Networks for a hardware role. They mentioned in the offer that the target bonus is 17% For anyone working in Juniper, have they been meeting targets recently? Just trying to estimate what my compensation would be. #hardware #semiconductor TC 250k
FYI, WLB in HW is terrible. Always understaffed because nobody wants to work with terrible management while making 🥜 .
Interesting. A couple of people I know who work there said its fine but again they are all recent hires and have worked there for <6 months.Do you work in hardware?
Yup asic. Cannot be more specific as team is not that big :) I have been here for a while (stuck because of some personal reason) and you can ask any old timer how bad it was and why people left. Yes new hires won’t know as there has been no full scale tapeout/project in last 6 months or so. They will soon get to know things :) I know market is bad but just a suggestion.
I help my clients (financial planning/advice) who are working with Juniper. Can attest that comp plan is stable - bonus, RSU, ESPP, 401k plan features/matching, benefit. The after tax 401k plan contribution/in plan Roth conversion is rather new and sometimes forgotten. Company stock price has been stable even with all the turbulence in the field. Can’t speak for work experience since that is different from everyone. I would say Comp plan in general is not spectacular; but stable, avg to above avg. Hope that helps and give you some insight.
Juniper is where people are forced to go for H1B sponsor when they have no other options. The company knows that this is the carrot so will not try very hard on TC, career development, etc. If you're not looking for a sponsor you're in the wrong place.
Yes, every year. Atleast for our group, also in HW. Sometimes depend on your group size.
Can confirm this, at least true for the past few years. Also in HW.
