When pigs will fly.

Meta chat2 Aug 8, 2023

Why would everyone want to be a ups driver?

Google Aquq20 Aug 8, 2023

Mostly to earn a stable living wage and support a family from what I've seen

ServiceNow Beth Angli Aug 8, 2023

And have a hot wife like Leah remini

Amazon KgBl32 Aug 8, 2023

It’s only like $120K after you subtract out the benefits and it takes 5-10 years to get there. Still good.

“Only” lmao you are delusional. For people with little to no education or skills, this is a godsend. If I could get one of my lesser fortunate family members or friends into this position, it would change their life. Take your privilege and kick rocks.

Amazon diligentco Aug 8, 2023

Jeez chatPGE. He said it's a good salary, just that the title is inaccurate. No need for a hateful rant.

NVIDIA bluegene13 Aug 8, 2023

Good. Most people are underpaid. The people complaining wish they had unions.

BlackRock dRjm88 Aug 8, 2023

UPS driver always making more money than software engineer working at UPS .

Brex legal team Aug 8, 2023

Put another way, unionized employee making more money than non-unionized employee

BlackRock dRjm88 Aug 8, 2023

Union still exists in few places of the capitalist country 😀

Brex legal team Aug 8, 2023

UPS is almost always the most expensive shipping option. They also charge customers for vacation holds, redirects etc which FedEx and USPS offer for free. I’m happy for the employees but I assume this will make them even more expensive and undesirable.

Apple t6idb8J Aug 9, 2023

UPS market cap is 150 billion, FedEx is only 67

Oracle javadogg Aug 8, 2023

UPS will go bankrupt.

Salesforce OkkH03 Aug 8, 2023

Full-time drivers will make around $170,000 in annual pay and benefits by the end of the five year contract.

Amazon whatitd0 Aug 8, 2023

Good for them! We all should have unions that fight for our interests.

Amazon jrTW02 Aug 9, 2023

Yes, software is long overdue. It's the newest thing on the block with a bunch of people trying to take control of the narratives but at the end of the day, it's just us regular folks putting in the work and we deserve better. Instead, we have an industry where even just trying to get into the industry is its own industry and artificial gatekeeping and taking and demanding from open source without giving anything back in return.

Meanwhile Amazon is making their flex drivers pee in bottles for fear of being cut.
