I have a new grad offer at Amazon CDO (consumer, not AWS) after interning for the same team. My girlfriend wants to do a traveling job (think traveling nurse) around the US, and I would like to travel the US with her. My team is already split between two different states, and my manager is completely fine with me working remote. HR seems to be less friendly towards explicitly allowing a remote option: they say they don't offer remote positions since they expect employees to be located within commuting distance of the designated location. Is it possible to set up a VPN or something that would mask which state I'm working out from, or does Amazon not care at all or not check which state you're connecting from (I know they're at least licensed to do work in all 50 states, so maybe they don't care)?
