Uber Data Platform team
Recruiter reached out for a role in Uber's Data Platform Team at Bangalore. 1. How is this team? WLB, On-call load? 2. Is it possible to change team after interviews? 3. Have a personal situation where I cannot work on oncall, does the company help in making some accomodations in this case? I am looking for backend role. Reasons I am switching from current company (startup) is bad on-call load, unpredictable WLB. Don't want to end up in same situation again. Current TC 30 LPA YoE 3.8 #engineering #software
Oncall load would possibly be worse than your startup. Especially data platform has very heavy operational overhead.

1. It's terrible. Avoid. WLB doesn't exist due to the team manager (ZA). On call is going to be terrible. 2. Not sure. Which level? It depends on that. 3. Nope. :P

There are a few teams hiring for L4. You can ask your recruiter. Teams with good Work life balance not sure. Some Android or iOS teams have good wlb.
