I recently appeared for 2 interviews with Uber. The first one went fine, I was able to solve the question, but in the second round, which was the LLD round, I could not code everything. Also, the compiler version wasted a lot of time debugging stupid errors (I did not have a running code at the end of the interview and I could not complete all the functionalities). I have 2 more interviews scheduled (HM and HLD), do I still have a chance to get the offer? (I have heard that Uber is pretty strict in terms of hiring and even just one bad round can change the game)
What was asked in LLD interview? I heard it's LLD+concurrency. It looks super hard.
You will be given a company employees relationship as a CSV file. This contains the employee manager relationship, as well as the Role of the employee. There were 4 questions based on this such as printing all paths, printing all ICs (people with no manager) etcc..
So, first we have to parse csv file as input and solve basic tree problem or we also have to take care of concurrency or solve the problem for distributed systems etc?
Just focus on the next interviews, don't worry about what's already done.
Tc or gtfo
Are they strict with spelling?
One bad round wouldn't have killed you in the past, but in this market it definitely will. We have so many highly qualified candidates that ace the interviews.
This is the reason I insist that my full on-site be done on same day like it used to be before remote. It avoids all this overthrowing in between
OP, update?
How long does uber take to get back after initial 2 rounds? Do they respond with a rejection or just ghost u if you don't clear ?
