Interview recruiter at Uber has not been a good experience. The recruiter has a tendency to commit to a specific time schedule and miss out on it. On initial meeting, recruiter was 15 minutes late to just tell me that she wishes me luck and will be sending me slides to prepare for. After 6h+ of interviews, I am expected to hear back. Mention she would be contacting me in two different occasions which she has missed both. It makes me wonder about the accountability there. did you have the same experience interviewing for Uber? It is annoying.

Crossed a line with my boss
Hi, may I know how hard were the coding rounds and if the questions were LC tagged? I have only done a phone screen, but so far the people that I talked to were not really great. The recruiter was late and he sounded like a person that didn’t care about his job, so he was not really encouraging me and was probably giving to much details, for example, reading feedback from recent loops. Then the coordinator that I talked to was kind of aggressive and pushy. She kind of wanted to read the protocol that she’s supposed to and wasn’t really interested in answering questions. Seemed like a cop reading your rights just because they have to haha The interview scheduling was also sloppy, not honoring the times I sent. The guy that did the phone screen also seemed to not care, he gave me a fairly easy problem and he was not really paying attention to the interview. I thought he was going to fail me because he seemed totally uninterested me but I passed.
I got hired and went through a similar experience FWIW. If you are connected with the hiring manager in anyway, reach out to them. (or find them on LinkedIn even)
Slight update: I got a glad to speak with you, but due to the efficiency of your code we will not move forward. I got a perfect score in the coding output. Probably not the most efficient, but it wasn’t something I was told needed to be done.
I had something similar a few weeks back. I had my on-site on a Tuesday and the recruiter during the walk out mentioned that she’d get back on Friday only for them to ghost me all weekend and get back on Monday with a rejection lol. I was also not expecting anything out of the interview because I had not done that great on the coding rounds.

Hey, i think the coding round were on the harder side of a medium. But none of the questions were LC tagged.
