Uber WFH benefits
Does Uber have any WFH benefits? Like one time or monthly stipend to buy equipments (like table, chair, etc)
New hires wont get the one time $500 stipend anymore IIRC. Otherwise there is $68/mon you can expense for “wellness”
Do you get taxed for this?
Why don’t new hires get the stipend anymore? Uber saved so much money without people heading into the office - it’s bs not to give this out still.
You get a monthly stipend that you can use on anything wellness - walking shoes, gym membership, etc - and you can choose certain tech elements when you start that make your Wfh set up more comfortable. Stands, pads, monitors, etc
Can any new hires confirm if they received one time $500 bonus for wfh setup? I might have to return dual screen monitors to my current company.
You get nothing for being perm remote. They won’t even send you a keyboard, mouse or monitor. You can slowly expense them at like ~$70 a month under your wellness credit (until the policy changes). In short, you get a laptop. Nothing else. No swag, no office stipend, nothing. I tried asking manager and IT, no one “knows” anything other than the wellness credit.
Can anyone from Uber vouch for this? I’m joining Uber and this is disappointing I understand that they don’t give the $500 bonus anymore. But for fully remote workers they should at least provide monitor and keyboard.
Yeah you can be a Uber driver between your meetings.
