Y’all be real with me. Pay aside, is Uber great to join as a product manager rn? If it is, mind sharing why? and then possibly what one can prep with?
Food was good lol.
Very Grindy but lots of ownership and scope available. Pay is good. Upward mobility is hit and miss depending on the org. Really Depends what you’re looking for but I wouldn’t say it’s bad by any means
PM org in Uber is separate from engineering which makes it impossible to produce something good in most orgs. There is always an internal fight between the two parties, where PMs ignore good ideas from engineers because they won't get the credit or promotion for them.
FAANG levels of intensity / cutthroat without quite the pay. Stock is ATH so don't expect much equity wise
Pay is good, but it is not worth the mental strain. I would highly suggest you steer clear
Depends on what you're looking for
well, what are you after? it's super intense and while it pays more than most companies (obviously), compared to FAANGs, not quite as much. a lot of the points raised by other Ubers in the cs are facts. But I haven't seen anyone suggest something for prep. Try out product alliance, they've got an Uber specific course although it's a bit expensive. I'm not at Uber anymore and I used it to prep for Google PM interviews and it was a lot of help. Companies in the same pay bracket though might offer you a better overall work experience
How is Uber in Amsterdam?
No, it's not worth. Not even worth the pay.
