Thank you AAPL and NVDA
Does anybody knows why: 1. I need to tip uber eats driver after spending $6.99 on delivery, 10% on service fees? 2. Why driver tips are based on the price of products I order? Ie ordering seafood for $35 should have same tip as ordering chicken breast for $15 if they both come from same restaurant? 3. Why should I tip driver not the restaurant?
You shouldn't tip anyone anything
My today’s tip: Sell NVidia after 22% increase in one day
Why tip the driver not the restaurant? and why tip if he already got $6.99 in delivery fees and $3.5 in service fees?
I never understood why tip should be based on what I’m ordering, unless it’s relevant, like grocery delivery. Sure, more groceries, higher bill, heavier bags, and takes longer to shop and bag the groceries, so I don’t mind tipping on percentage basis for groceries. But Uber eats and door dash, I never tip more than $5
That particular tipping system is a scam. It’s a way for Uber to pretend they pay livable wages to the drivers instead of pocketing too much. You have a duty not to go overboard there or tip cash like a real boss.
You’re doing this wrong. Find a credit card that offers free Uber eats or DoorDash subscription.
I never tip until after it’s been delivered
Tipping is broken in USA, corporates just use it to pay lower wages to their workers. This is plain guilt exploitation of innocent public, these days tipping starts from 20% which is crazy to me. This is on top of inflated prices, it's not like eating out is cheap.
