Uber fires Anthony Levandowski, self-driving car executive at heart of Google lawsuit - http://www.cnbc.com/2017/05/30/uber-fires-self-driving-car-executive-anthony-levandowski.html
Will the prosecution flip him to convict Travis? Stay tuned
this whole case is like suits meet silicon valley
The main question is where are those goddamn files, still on his laptop or Uber already copied it?
At this point, it almost doesn't matter. There are two ways forward. Clean room involves firing the entire LIDAR team and resetting their research by years. Or settling with G out of court for license fees. These are both pretty shitty options...
Why does G want to settle? License your core tech to a direct competitor? I say ruin Uber.
Interesting to see if AL can come and say TK colluded. Either way does not bode well for either side.
I don't think AL will flip against Travis. This may just be a way for Uber to dodge the bullet. Once the case is settled, AL will be back with TK.
Once the dust settles, I want to see the movie or read the book about Uber. What a rollercoaster!
Movie should be named "Traffic Jam"
There is a new book about Uber. Wild Ride.
Does AL get to keep his $250M stock grant?
who knows his deal when he left. however he didn't get any of these $250M and won't get any, but that's not saying they didn't give him a compensation when leaving.
There's a Bloomberg article that says he loses his $250M in stock. Does that mean uber got Otto for cheap / free?
So he didn't record his conversation with Travis? Is that why Uber dared to fire him?
I'm sure uber signed a deal with him to keep him silent
Double trigger so Anthony is awesome now
Are you sure? Usually the firing needs to be without cause.
