Damn that’s a great senior offer. Congrats!
This indeed is a good offer. Please don’t mind, but in this market Microsoft is the only company still low balling. I got 18 offers. 17 of them were 400K+ but Microsoft was 300K for year one and less after that.
Microsoft is not lowballing. They’ve always been low. Even with 6% inflation and super hot job market (even Amazon, their top competitor has raised comp) and yet MSFT didn’t raise anything. My suggestion: don’t come to MSFT unless you need immigration benefits. Or unless you are L66+ (they get good refreshers)
Base and Sign on are absolute max I believe. There is lot of room in RSU. They can go up to 900K
Nice. How were the interviews?
Interviews were pretty standard . 2 design rounds , 2 coding rounds and a behavioral. Look through Uber tagged leetcode questions
Also, what kept you at VMWare for 6 years? That comp is pathetic. Happy for you that you are potentially going to Uber! Congrats!
DM and I’ll provide info. Don’t want to be roasted about that more 😆
Have an interview coming up with VMware. Can I dm you
Great offer. How was the interview? Do they still ask codility tests
I didn’t have codility. Had a phone interview and then 5 rounds in the virtual on-site
Dang better than mine! Go for it
In how many days did you get the offer after submitting the docs?
I got the offer 2 days after my interview if that’s what you are asking
Why is the stock vesting schedule unequal ? Didn't know that Uber started doing this as well
@op how did you manage to negotiate this offer ? Competing offers ?
Yes I had three competing offers.
What was Uber's initial offer in that case ?
Yes, there is potential
