Uber offer (non-technical) vs Other company

I have 10 years of experience in marketing, got an offer from Uber but base is too low. I have two offers one from Hiscox, base salary is 145K+17.5% bonus, while Uber offered me base as 120K in NY+ 3107 RU's with 4 yr vesting. Help in suggestion of picking offer. Please advise...

If you can survive off the low base from Uber, def choose that. Hiscox is an old school conservative company where you will go to die. Uber’s value will always be a crap shoot until it IPOs and gets tested, but you will still have a lot more upside and the big brand on your resume.

Well for me right now, its only advantage of having uber name on resume. From base salary 120 in ny vs 145 in Georgia is big difference. If I am correct Georgia is much cheaper than NY.

Yes, it’s much more expensive overall but only you know how much your own expenses are. Figure in that you won’t need a car, could live with a roommate, might get free food at Uber, etc. have you tried negotiating with Uber? FYI, I’ve lived in both GA and NYC. Hiscox USA was also my client (and I know their marketing very well).

They've been doing this for a little while now. Cost cutting on salary so it looks good on financials while hoping people will accept based on the RSU's having liquidity in the near future. Did they go over strike price v estimated IPO value with you?

Real talk how hard are non technical interviews at top tech companies?

Failed Google but passed Amazon. Both were heavily weighted on personality questions. Do some research on recent questions they are asking and have 10 - 15 stories prepared that you can show how your personality traits were able to bring about success in your past roles.

So just one long behavioral interview?
