Uber promo
Considering a Uber offer for same level as I currently am, l4. However, comp is considerably higher. My manager thinks I can submit promo packet next quarter, but that means promo won't kick in for about 5-6 months. Overall the Twitter promo process is very frustrating. XFN teams are always surprised I'm not already senior. Curious how Uber process is to see if it's worth making the switch now and trying to promo around 1 year mark there
How confident are you with twitter promo? How much higher is the comp? 1 year promo is hard though not impossible
260->360. Pretty confident but I don't think promo will come with 100k bump
Senior title opens you up to more opportunities. As the other comment said, keep interviewing, and insist on senior.
There’s no reason to take a lateral move to Uber right now. It is very very easy to get an uplevel. Many are getting double uplevels. Get some competing offers (at senior leveling preferably) and circle back with your recruiter.
It is a laborious process. Need lot of documentation in terms of design documents and impact . Then need a good set of recommendations. The promo committee will really micro analyze your packet. I think if you found twitters promo process frustrating, it will be the same here and for that matter in most FAANG
