I tried booking a ride from San Francisco to San Mateo today morning 8 am and saw a price of 45 dollars after my ride pass discount (usually it is 20 dollars, and after my ride pass it becomes 12 dollars). At the same time, my roommate found the same ride for 35 dollars without the ride pass. How is it that non-ride-pass holders are getting cheaper rides than ride pass holders. It wasn't one off. We tried for good 5-7 minutes by restarting the app. Looked like Uber just wanted to increase the price for me coz I pay them fixed monthly fees.
Ride pass isn't even available for me anymore. I just get 50% off promo's every other week.
Uber says 'fuck crm'
They could be profiling riders based specifically on their apparent wealth (transaction history). Google for it.
I switched to lyft. As soon as I did that they started sending me promo codes. Wonder if they know I use lyft now?
Profiling ... they know how to make most of you ...
Uber charges based on your profile, history, location etc. Super funny people think it's based on distance and demand. It's based on what the think you will pay.
Uber has failed in so many ways that you all are not even seeing. The reason for these issues is that Uber is NOT a Sharing Economy. It's just another corporation who fooled us into thinking they were, while women were being felt up, employees were being intimidated and probably raped and worse......things we'll never know! Companies deserve to become obsolete. Www.CalEats.com will make certain. Get Ready.
