Uber still wants to do an onsite interview.

What's the other context besides cost cutting of the layoff that they would be still hiring? Else where pointed out it's laying off unwanted, devs and moving forward with new stronger devs. Is there any truth to this? Or am I just seeing the hand haven't gotten the memo from the brain?

Have you even bothered to read the articles about this? Do some research - they cover this.

Don't waste your time with a burning ship, unless you want a practice interview or a good counter offer with other companies.
