Uber TC - 190k (Y1 and Y2) PRO - Good Solid Refreshers and best amongst the 3, free food, Better reputation for engg talent, Growth to L4 would mean 60-70k refreshers every year which is on par with Google. Like the team and manager. Cons - Instability, potential layoffs, Relatively bad wlb compared to all 3, no 401k. Atlassian TC - 175k- 180k (Y1 and Y2) Pros - Best wlb amongst all 3, fully remote option, Interesting Product space and good tech stack, supposedly the most chill company and employee. Like the team and manager. Cons - less reputation, sub par refreshers, perhaps chill wlb would mean my growth is hindered. Salesforce TC - 200k( Y1 and Y2) Pros - Highest TC amongst all 3, Good wlb, Most stable company, Better positive outlook from industry standpoint, ESPP, 401k, Cons - Perhaps most demotivating factor - Manager was extremely condescending during my conversation (typical indian manager who thinks new grads are full of shit and arrogance (I m myself indian), full stack team so not a big fan, no refreshers until LMTS so would be stuck with 200-250k for next 4-5 years. YOE 1.5 TC : 150k
Uber has no 401k? Wtf? Also refreshers are good but look at the Uber stock. And the engineering talent that made Uber great left to other companies long ago. Only join if it’s ML platform team. Stay away from Eats.

It will not “crash” per se, but I simply can’t see any reason why it should rise significantly. Yes Uber has slowly started making profits now, but at what cost? They spun out and sold off their self driving business giving up the only real competitive advantage they had. Then they spent money to buy postmates. Even Uber execs must realize at some point that ridesharing/food delivery market is too tough to stay in for long. Margins are thin and competition is high.
No refreshers till lmts is untrue. I have gotten refreshers every year except the first year since I joined. That means as an MTS, SMTS and also LMTS
What is the average refresher amount for MTS and SMTS ? And I am assuming you are exceeds or in top 30% ?
Got 60k each as mts and smts and 80k as lmts. Yes I am a top performer

What about refreshers
Only if you are top performer (i.e., you are your managers buddy). Generally, pmts has the highest chance. At lower levels they get refreshers but not much (I know smts that got 8k). Also there is no guarantee that you will get refresher, so after 4 years you will hit the cliff and then time for leetcode. If you want refresher, try to get promoted to director. Directors looks out for each other. It is a very political place, everything is politics.
Salesforce is when you have a family. Bad place to start your career.
