I have home owners insurance policy from Amica. I don’t have any auto insurance policy as I don’t own a car. Amica requires me to have both home owner and auto insurance for getting an umbrella insurance policy. Any recommendations for insurance company that provides umbrella insurance without having home owner or auto insurance?
I use safeco
If you have $1mil in the bank and your home/auto insurance only pays $100k maximum then you probably wanna have umbrella insurance. If you don't have much other than your primary residence then you don't need extra coverage.
None

Does umbrella insurance protect you for all kind of law suits , for example landlord discrimination due to unintentional mistakes in filing ads for home , etc etc ?
Insurance typically doesn’t cover unlawful activity.
You may want to consider getting unowned vehicle auto insurance. It is pretty cheap and covers you for when you borrow or rent a car up to the umbrella deductible. That’s what we did when we didn’t own a car.
Amica seems to be good. I got them for auto, renters and umbrella and so far ok but I haven't had any claims w them yet

Uhhhhhhh what do you want an umbrella for exactly?

This is a legit question. Why do you want the coverage? The point of an umbrella is to increase limits on the underlying policies (home and auto) once they're tapped out. Do you already have the highest limits possible on the home policy? At the end of the day insurance is access to money. What exactly are you trying to insure or protect yourself against in terms of potential liability?
