Hardware pays peanuts. But still, I believe you could do better, start prepping and applying.
What sucks is it's not any easier than sw and still pays peanuts.
Agreed to y'all. As an aside: both of you are with firms that I value and respect a lot. I wish they had design centers down south. Thanks for your inputs folks.

Are you hiring for design roles?
@Microsoft- is msft hiring for DV roles? Can I DM you for more details?
Severely underpaid. Check out qualcomm at levels.fyi
On blind you’re always underpaid
New on blind actually! Looking at the poll results it definitely raised my eyebrows. Glassdoor and paysa tell me my market value is in the same ballpark as my TC, give or take a couple grands in bonuses. Probably a lot of Poll votes are simply comparing it to the TCs in the bay or software TC. Not entirely convinced but not questioning it either.
In my experience, realistic TCs are somewhere between what you see on Blind and what you see on Glassdoor. Lots of people posting their comp on here are factoring in major stock appreciation. But for whatever reason, Glassdoor salaries seem to generally be quite below what's really available.
Are you like 34?
How does that matter?
Idk just curious but usually for that age the salary seems low
Unfortunately US companies doesn’t give a f about non US experience. Even if it’s legit. Have faced this
That's not true ... They might not pay heed to pre MS exp ...

Way underpaid if your non US experience is relevant.
My non US experience is in hardware as well, though it was a different skill set. I am a designer now and work profile prior to Masters was into test mode IP verification and integration.
I think it's relevant then. And yes you're unfortunately underpaid even for a 3yoe. Even if you count half of 4. You'd be at 5 yoe. Try checking QCOM TCs. You'll get an idea for Sr Engineer TC is around 160K or so.
