Hi Blinders, Looking for some advice here. I moved from research to product recently. I like the work, but the pace at which things move is fairly new to me. I am 8 months into the job and finally seem to get a hang of things. However I feel I have already placed myself as an underperformer. Should I just switch or wait it out? I don’t work at Yahoo! anymore. TC: 350k
persist through it. It will only get easier (though you will find other challenges lol)
Remember to try to communicate more in order to get yourself unstuck. You don’t have to explicitly ask for help but instead over communicate what you’re doing and people might just join in to give their opinions and move you along. I’m not sure if you know what you’re doing but it takes you a long time or you’re just having a hard time getting into a grove because you lose steam quickly due to getting stuck on something. It’s usually the latter from my experience. You have to ask people how to move you forward but do so in a way that doesn’t seem like you’re asking for too much. That usually involves doing a. It if investigation and pre work.
Seems like something to try!!!
