I want to understand about the number of units of stocks which gets allocated while joining atlassian. I know it takes the joining month’s average stock value and based on that calculates the number of stocks. But are these stocks calculated for all 4 years in the first month itself? Or it’ll only calculate 1/4th of the total amount of stocks for the first year? I’ve got 100k USD stocks. So when I join in Feb , will I be allocated 100k USD worth stocks during the first month itself? Or I’ll be allocated only 25k USD worth of stocks for first year and then again based on subsequent year stock value at that time , the number of stocks will be decided? Please note I’m only confused about allocation. I understand the vesting part. Current TC at Intuit - 45 LPA including stocks YOE - 4.5 years Atlassian offer - 58 LPA including stocks

Companies that pay as much as meta
Hey OP, how much intuit provide refreshers at year end
If value of stock is say 100$ at the time you join(monthly closing price average), your 100k grant is divided by 100$ giving you 1000 units of their stock. Now from these 1000 units, 250 or 25% vest each year(meaning you get the opportunity to sell). In the 4th year, your units will still be 250 but if price might've increased by say 2x, it would be worth 50000$ when it's vested
That clears my doubt. Thank you so much
That 100$ will be the monthly closing price average of the prior month’s joining date i.e January if op is joining in Feb (instead of the current month joining date). Is that correct ?
